My name is Lisa Imber, but I go by Merlin. I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a graphic and web designer bachelor’s degree. I also have a bachelor’s in English with an emphasis on literature from Clemson.

I was born in Dahn, Germany, but moved every 2-3 years thanks to my father being in the military. I’ve lived all over the United States and have visited a few countries in Europe. I do go back and visit my family in Germany every few years.

Art has always been something I’ve been interested in, but never really thought I could pursue. While in college, I had a very massive depressive episode and afterwards I picked up a game, Final Fantasy XV. I started drawing some of the characters and two great friends of mine went on the journey with me as I streamed the game every Saturday for a few months until we beat the game. It changed my life. I’ve met wonderful friends who supported me to the point I went back to get a degree in Graphic Design since I knew the hours required for an art degree were not possible for me at the moment. I’ve put digital pen to tablet ever since.
